How to setup Authorize.net

Authorize.net is one service which can be used to receive payments from your site. It can often be a cheaper yet complete alternative to paypal.

Create an Account

You will need to contact authorize.net to create your account. To learn more or get started, please visit:

Credentials

Once your account is setup you will need an API Login ID and a transacton key. To retrieve them login to your authroize.net account and click the 'account' tab. Then under the 'Security Settings' section, click the link that says 'API Login ID and Transaction Key'. Your Login ID will be listed and a transaction key can be generated from here.

When you have both items, you can enter them in our backend under Admin > Account.  Just go to the ecommerce tab on the right and enter your Login ID in the field 'Gateway User ID' and your transaction key in the field 'Gateway Signature/Transaction key'. Gateway Email and Gateway Password should be left blank.
